Katie Yamasaki is a celebrated muralist and children’s book author/illustrator and teacher. She has illustrated Honda, The Boy Who Dreamed of Cars (Lee and Low); Lifelines, the Black Book of Proverbs (Broadway Books/Random House). She has written and illustrated Fish for Jimmy (Holiday House), YAMA (Lee & Low), When the Cousins Came (Holiday House), a Kirkus best of 2018. Her latest picture book, Everything that Naomi Loved, is forthcoming with Norton Young Readers.
Yamasaki earned BA at Earlham College and her MFA in the Illustration as Visual Essay program from the School of Visual Arts in 2003, where she is currently a member of the faculty.
